Alan Kennedy
Alan worked at HMRC for 15 years and was a senior inspector at HMRC Special Compliance Office dealing with complex tax fraud and avoidance investigations. Alan spent over 8 years at KPMG where he was an associate tax partner and a senior member of the national tax investigations group. Alan has experience of defending clients in a wide range of HMRC enquiries across all the major areas of taxation.
Alan has extensive experience of advising companies, partnerships and individuals on a very wide range of onshore and offshore issues. While at KPMG, Alan also spent a six month full time secondment in industry as Tax Director at Jaguar Land Rover. He now leads the Tax Resolutions business and is an integral member of the BlackStar tax team.
Steve Green
Steve spent over 10 years at KPMG where he joined as a graduate and obtained his professional taxation qualifications. During his time at KPMG Steve spent time working in industry, in KPMG’s M&A team and for the last 5 years as a specialist tax senior manager with the Investigations team. He has extensive experience of dealing with HMRC and defending complex structures and investigations.
In addition, Steve has developed wide experience in proactively advising companies and high net worth individuals of efficient tax structuring utilising offshore jurisdictions and often deals with issues of residence and domicile.
Richard Wynne
Richard spent 10 years with HMRC where he qualified as a senior tax inspector responsible for managing investigations and technical enquiries. He joined PwC in 2000 as a senior member of the tax investigations practice and specialised in complex tax enquiries, data and forensic examinations and expert witness work. Richard moved to KPMG in 2005, where he spent 5 years and helped to develop strategic tax risk management services for large corporate clients and gave technical support to a range of private and public sector clients.
Richard is well acquainted with advising clients on offshore structuring for corporate and individuals as well as efficient onshore planning.
