Robert Rock

BlackStar has widened its sponsorship portfolio this year to include pro-golfer, Robert Rock. Currently ranked 119 in the world and high on the list for the race to Dubai, Robert has a high profile within the golfing world and is a favourite with the media. After a great recovery at this year’s British Open Robert finished joint seventh.

Claire Boumphrey

Ernie BlackStar will be sponsoring event rider, Claire Boumphrey, again in 2010. This year Claire will have two main rides; Swynnerton (stable name Ernie), her experienced advanced ride and new to the circuit Dispol Truly (stable name Polly).

Polly is proving to be Claire’s secret weapon with good results in the first half of the season, climbing a little higher in the rankings each time she goes out. If she keeps this up Polly is well placed to compete in the CIC* at Gatcombe later in the summer.

Surrey County Show

For the third year running BlackStar will be sponsoring the show-jumping classes at Surrey County Show. Many top names in the show-jumping world will be competing in the main ring in amongst many other attractions planned on the day.

The Surrey County Show has lots to see and do for the whole family including a farmers’ market, monster trucks, hot air balloon challenge, acres of shops and trade exhibits as well as a host of other attractions.

Warwickshire County Twenty20 Series

Trott BlackStar is proud to be sponsoring Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s Twenty20 team for a second year in 2010. With both our Client Services & Administration Centre and Wealth Management business arms based in the Midlands, this partnership has strong local roots.

Barker The domestic Twenty20 competition has had an overhaul this year with a north and south division. With nine teams in the north division there will be lots of Twenty20 action over the summer months.

The Warwickshire team are on good form this year and we are looking forward to an exciting Twenty20 season with our sights set firmly on the finals being hosted this year at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.

The Superyacht Cup

sailing boats BlackStar is pleased to be back again this year as one of the sponsors for the 2010 Superyacht Cup. Now in its 15th year, the Superyacht Cup is the Mediterranean’s oldest and most popular sailing regatta for yachts over 30m (100ft). Held over 4 days in Palma, Mallorca the Superyacht Cup is a unique opportunity for superyacht owners and their friends to enjoy racing in a fun informal environment. The sailing takes place in the stunning Bay of Palma famous for its reliable summer wind conditions.
